Open links in default browser?

Hi I've moved away from Gmail due to hit and miss notification issues and and with aqua mail I seem to receive all my notifications without any issues. How can I open links with my default browser brave? Every link I click is opening chrome which I don't want?

That's long been a gripe of mine. If the links open IN Aquamail, it's ALWAYS Chrome, even though that's not set as my default browser, which is Kiwi.

The only way to get it to use your default browser is to change a setting. Go to Message View and UNCHECK "Open web links in Aqua Mail".

That will cause all links to open in your default browser in a new and separate browser window. No more just using the back button to return to your email list. You'd have to use the Recents button and select Aqua Mail again.

A pain all around. I complained about this years ago to no effect. Other email apps respect your default browser choice. Is Aqua Mail getting kickbacks from Google?

Agreed, this is an obnoxious and completely unexpected behavior which I found difficult to track down and correct.  There was no reason for this to even have been a problem.  Respect the Android default browser choice!!

It's simple, you can download Brave Browser as per your OS and configure the setting following as below:
Open the Settings app on your device.
Scroll down and select "Apps" or "Applications" (the name may vary depending on your device).
Find and tap on "Aqua Mail" from the list of installed apps.
