Can't login to Office 365 account anymore

Hi,

My AquaMail just got updated to 1.39.0-203 and now I can't login to my O365 (EWS) account anymore (see first attachment).

According to this help article https : // aquamail.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/77000526111-office-365-login-errors-in-version-1-37 I should re-authenticate when I tap the red error message, but it only brings up an account check error (see second attachment) and then open the AquaMail manual account setup.

Was working fine yesterday. Any hints?

It's a bug that's been present since 1.37 that AM refuses to address or even accept bug reports regarding.

Your best bet is to backup your settings, uninstall AM, and install 1.36:

Don't forget to turn off automatic updates in Google Play, or you'll be right back where you started.

It's downright shameful that AM has broken one of the only features that differentiates it from competitors like K-9 and hasn't fixed it for three version updates.

Thanks a lot for your help, but unfortunately I'm still getting the same error.

I know that Microsoft was disabling basic authentication for all protocols (except for SMTP) starting October 1st, and apparently it struck me now.

After taking the recommended actions to re-enable basic auth for EWS (see attachment), all was working fine again. But this is only going to be a temporary solution, because Microsoft will finally disable all basic auth by the end of this year and you won't be able to opt out anymore.

I'm sure this will affect basically every O365/AquaMail user within the next few days, so let your Exchange admins know!

AquaMail Team: Please provide a solution otherwise AM will simply become unusable for O365 accounts.

Hi

I had the same issues on my mobile when I upgraded at the weekend,  but only when it was using 3G/4G, it worked perfectly when connected to Wi-Fi.

It only affected 2 accounts of 4.

I found a solution that worked for me, was to delete the affected accounts, then re-add them using Office365.

Everything seems to be working OK now for my Office365 accounts.

This may not work for all
