Aqua Mail v 1.37.0-163 - Incoming server login error
« on: June 26, 2022, 06:31:17 pm »

Since the last update I started getting repeated "Incoming server login error" message on my o365 account. Searching the App reviews in the Google store, I've noticed server people reporting the same issues. Has something been changed that requires modifications of settings or is this a bug that needs to be corrected?

Update 1.37 broke push mail with Office 365

Since the app was updated no push mail from O365 and on/off issues with syncing when pressing refresh manually.

Tried clearing data and restored account and app settings and the issue still persists.

Thanks for the reply but that's not it. I was asked to authenticate after loading the new update for the first time. The problem is that I randomly get an "Incoming server login error" and then need to click next. This happens multiple times a day. See the screen shots. I also tried to delete the account and re-add it but the issue still occurs.

HI,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please refer to this article for more information https://aquamail.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/77000526111
The only course of action you can take here is to request that Aqua Mail is whitelisted by your company's IT department. Please note we have some changes for the Office 365 login page we made in version 1.37 that may affect our Client ID. This will require users to re-authenticate since we implemented Microsoft's newer MSAL standard and replaced the older ADAL.

For now, you can disable the notifications if they are annoying. Please go to Aqua Mail > Settings > Look and feel > Notify about ... there are three such options. Alternatively, turn off the notification by tapping & holding on it and entering the management page in Android Settings.

Have you searched the forum? And/or read the release notes?

There was nothing in the forum regarding 1.37 and O365 push notifications issues.

And I have no issues with the login, even though it occasionally throws a login error.
When I manually refresh the mail it works fine each time.
Scheduled sync is messed up (it works on/off) and push mail NEVER works.

I have also uninstalled Aqua Mail and installed it from scratch with not a single setting changed (so fully default) with just the O365 account, and it doesn't work, the behavior is the same.
So, in conclusion there is a bug.

hi.
after the last update i am also having various random login errors during the day.
the problem only affects live.com and o365 accounts. this never happened before the update.
I hope it can be fixed soon.

PS: i have the pro version from play store

Maybe I'm not explaining it properly. I can authenticate properly. I get emails without any issues. The problem is at random intervals throughout the day I get an "Incoming server login error". I don't know if it has to do with a time-out, issue with Token refresh interval or whatever. As you can see from the sign in logs, there are many successful sign in attempts. I don't see errors in the Azure Sign-In logs.

I can disable warnings as you suggested but I'm not sure if this is an issue as I've never experienced it before. There is no conditional access, If I'm missing some permission, perhaps you can elaborate and explains why it works except for the random "incoming server login error" message.

Same problem for me. Login errors. But also refreshing email manually takes 5-10 times longer.

I do not longer get emails instantly through pushmail. Maybe like 20 minute delay now.

Have downgraded back to 1.36 and everything works perfect again.

Which exact file do I download and where to get the 1.36 pro version? Thanks
