Strange error with unvisible screen elements

Hello,
Since a few updates I experience a strange display bug on my phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (codename whyred, still on Android 8.1)) . Reading mails is fine, but whenever I try to create/reply or forward a mail the upper screen elements are just invisible. They are there and I can use them, but they are invisible which make them hard to use.

Any hints on how to solve this?

Hello,

You can either:
-Switch to the old message editor (Settings > Composing and Sending > Disable "New message editor")
OR
-Roll back your Android System WebView update and disable it's auto-update on the Play Store
