New created account comes up with data from deleted account
« on: January 24, 2022, 06:12:18 pm »
Hello,
when I create an new IMAP-account using an email address of an account I deleted some day ago in Aqua-Mail, the new account comes up with folders which I deleted directly on my providers server. I dont need this folders and wonder from where they come.
What is the reason for this problem? Are deleted accounts kept in a database  with all their data and are then 'reactivated' when I create an account with the same address? How can I solve this problem?
Greetings from Solingen, Germany

Maybe try this but I can't guarantee it's going to work.
I would also recommend making a backup of your AquaMail before starting.
First, I would make sure those folders are deleted with another email client besides just AquaMail.
Second, delete the account from AquaMail.
Third, Go into settings - Data Storage - Compact the Database (WARNING: this will delete old data from AquaMail).
Fourth, force close the app and clear cache (WARNING: don't clear app data as that will clear out everything from AquaMail).
Fifth, re-add the email account to AquaMail and what happens after that?
