AM is an email client and as such, brings in email from the email accounts that you already have (or will have.)

All AM does is reach out to your existing email server and displays the mail that is there.

Hi OneblueTulip,

Only you can determine what the advantage for you specifically is.

In general, third party mail clients, such as Aqua Mail, offer greater customization and features in comparison to stock mail apps. Aqua Mail specifically is also an offline client - as in the e-mails in your account are only stored on your phone/tablet where the app is, and your mail provider's server.

If you have any specific questions we'd be happy to help you out!

Martin

Thank you Martin!
So the emails stored on AM servers, does AI peruse my emails and suggest targeted ads to me?

I changed browsers and I'm researching email providers.

I've considered starting a hosted website again and that would solve my email problem.

Thanks you for your expertise.

We don't store your e-mails on a server. The app stores them on your phone and your mail provider (i.e. Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) store them on their own server. The ads you see in the free app are targeted using your Android Advertising ID which is a system component of Android. If you've turned off targeted ads in the Android settings, the ads are not targeted.
