Sort order incorrect

I have the sort order of starred and unread first.

This has always worked fine both on mobile on tablet.

However recently this isn't working correctly on tablet (still working on mobile)

On tablet, it is just randomly jumbled up, even some random stars next to things that aren't even stared on mobile.

Trying to open one of these emails which has a star beside it but shouldn't causes the app to crash.

Both on version 1.29.1-1808

phone Android 10
Tablet android 7

I've cleared cache and data and copied over a backup from mobile, but still no better.

If you have a chance, could you check if you experience the same behavior there?
