Sent Folder Question
« on: December 05, 2012, 05:06:08 pm »
I have a gmail account set up via IMAP.

Why does it show 11804 in my sent folder?  I've only get that folder set to have 50 messages.  If I go into the folder, I can scroll down and it certainly will load more than 50 messages.  Do all but the newest 50 get deleted when I back out of the folder?  That doesn't appear to be the case though.

Same as trash folder.  It shows 540 next to it, but I have that set to only have 50 messages as well.

The app shows the message counts reported by the server. This is so you know that there are more messages than you can see at first.

Now as for actual loading - the default is to load 25 most recent messages, and then over time, keep 250 most recent ones (so that going back to recent old messages is still reasonably fast).
