I have a bit of a complicated setup:
-aquamail uses imap to sync my email
-android syncs calendar and contacts (but not mail) via EAS, as the server doesn't support EWS.
Server is a mailcow/sogo installation.

When I receive an invite in the form of an ics attachment (tried from various sources), and I open it in aquamail, and accept it into the calendar synced via EAS, it only shows up on the android device itself, and this as an "outline" (stock google calendar app), so I guess it sees it as tentative or something. It will never sync to the server, or at least not that I can see, so doesn't show up on any other devices.
I used to use google calendar, and when I accept into that calendar, it works as expected. When i "duplicate" the "faulty" event, it does show up as it normally would and syncs.

Any ideas?

some further testing reveals it seems to happen only with "published" events, eg ones that do not expect a reply
