IMAP Push stops working with ONLY Gmail

Hello,

I have a problem with IMAP push.  I recently changed my phone to the Samsung Note 3 and IMAP Push stops working for only my gmail accounts. 

I have several gmail accounts and one Apple iCloud email account.  They all support IMAP push.  When I start up the email application, the ongoing notification shows push is active for all my email addresses. Everything works fine. 

But if I lock my phone and leave for some time (30 - 60 minutes) and I come back, I notice the ongoing notification only shows up for the iCloud address.  The gmail addresses are not listed and I haven't received any notifications for gmail emails I know have come.  Notifications come properly for my iCloud email.

If I open the email program, the notification now shows all addresses again, and all emails get properly synced.  But after 30-60 minutes this happens again.

Well I *think* it's working now.

Short version: current developer build fixed it

Longer version:  I tried switching to fetch mode every 15 minutes for all my gmail accounts.  However even those were failing.  The accounts would turn red and the "last sync" wouldn't be recent.  My non gmail accounts would sync fine as usual.  I enabled logging and looked through the system log. Turns out it could not connect to the gmail servers, and it was using IPV6.  But this only happened when the phone had the screen off.  I was looking for ways to disable ipv6 on android but I stumbled on a recent thread on these forums where you mention how the recent dev build allows falls back to ipv4 if ipv6 is unreachable. And it seems to work now.   My guess is maybe ipv6 isn't working properly on this phone in sleep mode.

Makes sense, and thanks for the details from the system log.

I only added a workaround for IPv6 in one of the development builds, the released version 1.3.8 does not have it.
