1.24.0-1585 No Notifications
« on: May 06, 2020, 04:02:07 pm »
Using the latest version 1.24.0-1585 I'm not getting any audio or vibrating notifications when receiving new mail. All the settings are correct and indicate I should be receiving the notifications.

The previous version that I used, 1.24.0-1577 works as expected.

I went to the AM website to try to find the previous version, but the only version available from the 'download' link 1.22.0-1539. Wonderful that the developer can't even keep their own website current.

I'd really like to be notified when new mail arrives. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any troubleshooting suggestions? Does anyone have 1.24.0-1577 available that could be uploaded to a file share site with a link PM'd to me?

Thanks.

Interesting. I've been getting only the vibrating notification- I don't have audio set- but the counter on the widget or the star for a new email don't update on the home screen. Also, AM is delayed with Push for my exchange accounts from different companies and servers. I have Nine also retrieving the same emails and Nine is receiving the Push instantly.

Thanks, stevealb, for confirming that -something- is funky with notifications. As I said I get neither audio or vibration. Even just the vibration would be better than nothing. The counter in the widget does update, but I can't see it when my phone is in my pocket. :-( All the other apps on the phone notify as expected.

FWIW, I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S8 running Android OS 9.

About 15 minutes ago, with the phone in my pocket, I heard and felt an incoming email alert. Since then I sent myself a few test emails and notifications seem to be working. I didn't upgrade or downgrade, nor have I changed any settings.

I don't know if this is temporary, or permanent, but right now it's working.

Thanks Mike. I should've looked in the forum first.

Correct. But who knows if it will be working tomorrow? Seeing as how I changed nothing, it could just as easily not work at any time. So if/when it happens again, I'll just roll back to 1577.

Thanks again.
