Android 10 update and notifications
« on: February 24, 2020, 06:57:31 pm »
My Verizon Samsung S9+ was just updated to Android 10. Since the update, I notice that the notification stars that show up on the widget icons to signify a new email are delayed. The phone vibrates, and there's a little email icon in the notification area, but the star on the widget icon is either delayed or doesn't show up. Any suggestions? Thanks

Search the forum. There have been a few issues with the 10 update. Your's sounds familiar and I think Mobi issued an update for it. Although I may be mistaken.

I had done a search and didn't see my problem or a solution listed.

Sorry. I said "I might be mistaken."

If nobody else replies, you could email support@aqua-mail.com.

I sent an email twice to support about this problem, but they have not replied to either email.

Have they stopped supporting AquaMail?

Hi,

First of all, excuse me for the delayed response. We do support the app and normally respond within 24 hours on weekdays, but we are a bit understaffed at the moment and our replies will come slower until the 20th of March.

We've not been able to locate the issue, but we are working on it and have logged it. From the android police in the link below you'll that there are numerous issues related to notifications since the update, so it's a bit of a mess in locating the problem:

Once we get to it, we'll come back to you.

Hi all,

I'm experiencing the same issue. Widget is not refreshing on my Samsung Galaxy S20+.
The phone vibrates, and there's a little email icon in the notification area, but the widget doesn't show the new unread emails.
I have AquaMail Pro correctly updated.

Thank you for your feedbacks.
