syncronisation - event types
« on: August 19, 2019, 06:46:00 pm »
Galaxy S8, Pie, AquaMail 1.20

Hi,
I come from version 1.5. and there one could choose to sync when mobile data enabled. How can I achieve this in 1.20 ?

I only find  those in my sync settings
- after boot, main sync, and in german "Wiederaufnahme"
BTW: When is AM syncing if "Hauptsyc.Einstellungen" or "Wiederaufnahme" are used ?

This is the downside of not beeing able to change language settings to english in AM ;-) ... maybe those settings are called sync triggers in the english version ...

These are the options for "Check mail on events" with original English terms (see screenshot below).

You should set the "Auto-Sync options" in your device's settings (if they are supported / available on your device) and enable the 'System "Auto-Sync" setting' option in Aqua Mail.

THX for your fast reply ...
1 so this means "mobile_data and Wifi" as triggers are gone :(

2 I want AM  to sync whenever Google syncs all the other stuff and set time between to 3h. After all I have read that does not seem to be possible except using tasker ....

Right now
- Push is deactivated, AM Systemsettings: "Even if background data disabled"
- the main AM sync is set to "once a day"
- AM trigger is set to AutoSync: So it should also trigger if android main sync is switched on ... right ?
- for testing I set time between to 2min and 15s delay

but even after manually toggeling Androide main sync settings ... no sync at all (if I activate push it works immediately)

I added a log where I disabled Android main sync and reenabled it after some time
