Chill оut every one. Again what's the problem.

Sorry, but Your response is pointless. Did You read our messages at all? If not, please do and don't offend us asking about the problem. Instead of admitting quilt You are accusing Google about some other, not tracker related stuff etc.

The facts are:
1) MobiSystems added tracker into v1.20.0-1456
2) MobiSystems did't tell users about it.
3) Tracker calls home for any version, pro and free, no matter when, or how it's brought.
4) MobiSystems promised fix the problem in the next app update.
5) v1.20.0-1462 is the next release after v1.20.0-1456 and tracker is not fixed.

So who is now dishonest?

I'm tired of this diatribe, you have dozens of apps on your phone that count you even how much hair you have in your ass.  And here we are making a huge case.  If they said they take it off they will take it off if you don't like it, change apps.  I, on the other hand, expect Activesync to be implemented, this is the real turning point.

nadir husain, frankly Google forces us to go through a complex verification process. Nadia has provided a link where there's plenty of info: https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/9110914?hl=en&ref_topic=3473162

We have to make some changes about how Ouath2 works and we need to make it fast so all of our resources are concentrated in this effort. We'll deal with everything else after this review is completed.

Michael, thanks a lot for this "behind the scene" information.

Due to Google restrictions we are forced to revert the way Aqua Mail handles OAUTH2 for Hotmail, Yahoo and Yandex. We will implement the new modernized OAUTH2 for them in the near future but it will take some time.
Now if you try to add Yahoo account, you should go to your web mail under Account Security and turn on the second slide box on the bottom right.

It sounds like you had to remove OAUTH for Yahoo / Yandex / Hotmail.

I checked the link, and to me it looks like Google's new requirements only apply to:

- OAUTH tokens obtained from Google
- Used to access user data residing on Google's servers
- In Google's services

I don't see (maybe I'm wrong) anything which would prevent you from using OAUTH tokens issued by _other_ mail services, to access user data residing on those _other_ servers.

Or is that the case? Maybe you could share more detail, don't think it would harm anyone or disclose "too much" since it's rooted in a document (that Google link) which is available to anyone.

Or drop me a personal email or maybe ask one of the developers to do this - I'm just curious, it seems so weird that Google would care about (and ask you to stop) the app using OAUTH with non-Google services.

Like I said, I'm genuinely curious about this one.

PS - OAUTH is not a Google specific technology, not invented or owned by them, so I'm actually double curious.

Hi Kostya,

I am very happy to see you in the forum.

Regarding your Oath remark, you are absolutely right, the issue is related solely to Google services and Oath is not invented by Google. The current issue we are facing is only for Gmail. We don't have this issue with other email providers.

Hi Michael, so why did you disable oauth for the other services in this release?

We had to change how we handle Oath for Google that affected all email providers. We are working on restoring Oath for them too.
