How to access my calendar or add calendar events?
« on: April 04, 2019, 09:45:14 pm »
This may sound like a dumb question... but, where do I check my calendar in the AquaMail app?  I read somewhere that we can access the synced calendar via "any calendar widget".  However, the calendar widget I'm using on Android looks like it's specific to Google's Calendar.  If I create a calendar event in the native Android calendar widget, it just adds the event to my Google calendar, not my Office 365 calendar.

PS:  I already have Calendar sync enabled under Exchange options for AquaMail.

Hello,

Yes, Aqua Mail does provide calendar sync for Exchange.
It's done "the proper Android way":
Your calendar events are stored "in the Android Calendar database" and can be viewed in any Calendar type app (pre-installed by the device manufacturer, Google Calendar from Play, a third party app...).
Same goes for Calendar widgets for your home screen, you can use any calendar widget app.
If you don't see your account's calendar events there, please make sure that calendar sync is enabled in Aqua Mail.
For this, please long press on the account on Aqua Mail main screen -> options and folders -> Exchange options.

Hi Nadia, just wanted to thank your post. It worked. I have a Samsung S23+ phone, I don't like their email app, that's why I bought AquaMail, but their calendar app is great, and now I have the best of both worlds.

Just I would add something for other members that could be helpful. My AquaMail is spanish, so, when I went to Ajustes => Calendario => Ver en el calendario , once I clicked on it, a pup-up came up requesting permissions to access Calendar. I gave permissions (Only when app is running, maybe I will have to change that to always), and after 15 to 30 seconds, inside Samsung Calendar, the meetings started appearing. I have Office 365 (Microsoft 365).

All the best, Juan
