Maybe he's right and I agree with the underlining of the addresses,

1. No need for the tick on the icon, when the contact is already saved by the user
=> please remove this tick. You may keep it or not for unsaved contacts (curious to propose to save spam addresses with this + sign).

2. The green lock should be bottom-aligned with the line.
=> should be moved slightly up in the attached screenshot
Is the date field the right place where to display the lock?

3. The grey separation line is thick
=> please make it lighter or thinner

4. The "Me" ("Vous" in French in the screenshot) could be in plain text (no need to display it in BOLD). No need to keep the "Me" AND black brackets AND the bold characters, you may remove 2 of them. Keeping "Me" is enough with plain characters and without brackets.

5. Try to indent the To: Cc: fields, so that the addresses appear aligned with the date. Keep "To:" where it is currently and indent the addresses. Probably with indentation, there will be no need for the grey horizontal line.

6. Is there a technical need to underline addresses? The teal colour already highlights the address, you may remove the line under it.

However, what's the reason to show the own (recipient) address in (brackets) The brackets should be removed.

If I write an e-mail to multiple recipients, the contact icon/photo will only be shown for the first recipient, no divided icon/photo with those multiple contacts.

Unfortunately, I do not know whether this has been the same behavior before in previous versions.

When viewing a sent message? Yes there is only one large "sender" image - in this case a ("the", first) recipient.

Always been like that, and it's the same in other apps.

We did experiment with showing (smaller) contact images for *all* recipients - and it looked like shit.

We will remove the parens, but will keep the Me in bold.

Reason: corporate emailing with many recipients, bold Me makes it easier to see if you were addressed directly, copied, or (also happens) neither which means BCC.

I find it a bit irritating when there is a single contact picture there. Perhaps a symbol image as a label for "multiple recipients" would be an idea.

Oh and by the way...

With this design update - if "contact images" are turned off in app settings (under message list, historically) --

-- then contact image will *not* show in message header.

I know there were people who really wanted this (i.e. no contact images anywhere on any screen).

The no image/contact chip is very nice in my opinion. Could you please incorporate in menu add unknown contact? (with chip showing, it's easy to add contact).

+ Updated design: message header (in message view).

Since latest versions message header is redesigned, then:

1) The new message header font should be possible to use also globally, or per view in account list/message view/message body etc.

2) In the message view, the blue top toolbar is too high and just wasting screen space. Text there can fit in much smaller area.

3) In the message view, the white bottom toolbar is too high and just wasting screen space. These icons can fit in much smaller area. And as all these icons actions are listed in three dots menu in the right, there should be option to not show this toolbar at all and then show the options three dots in the top toolbar, where in others views are also three dots for different settings.

After a week of testing, I would like to support this proposal. Because of the color, undermining is unnecessary.

Without the underlining, the header would look much calmer and cleaner.
