Search server side
« on: October 04, 2018, 05:44:51 pm »
Hello

I am a big fan of Aqua Mail and I supported it from the beginning by going pro. I gave up on Gmail since it wasn't that customizable, also.

But at the moment I find the searching experience a nightmare, especially when under time pressure while on the road or driving or etc.

I tend to use mainly Gmail and Yahoo services with multiple accounts. The problem is that after I archive an e-mail it is very hard for me to access it (especially fast while on the road) since the search in Aqua Mail is done only on "all loaded".

Of course, after reading other 2013 and 2017 posts, I went on Gmail "all mail" folder and performed a server search, yada yada. But I find that just a workaround for a very important function for a mail app. And here I am talking about Gmail. On Yahoo accounts I can't find anything if it wasn't cached by the app before.

Funny thing is, other apps (mymail, Gmail, or example) were performing this task very easy.

Please help me with any hints or settings I might have missed.

Is there a way to do it from the smart folder also? If yes, how? If not, why?

Also since I am here: is there a way to access all mail for one account, faster, directly from the main menu?
At the moment if I tap on the account name it simply minimises the "inbox / sent / etc" menu for each account (I tap).

Thank you

Server search is only if you initiate it from a specific folder.
