How to hide permanent notification on lock screen

Aquamail has a permanent notification showing that push is currently operating, which is great.

However I would prefer that specific, permanent notification to not show on the lock screen. AccuBattery for example has a setting "Show on secure lock-screen" for this.

I went through the settings, but there are a lot of options. Is the setting not there yet or am I missing it?

You will find this option in the settings:

> Settings > Look and feel > scroll down to near the end > disable the option 'Notification icon during sync and push'

@mikeone That option does not appear to do what I'm asking for. I want the notification. Just not on the lock screen.

Any other setting that might allow this?

I finally understand what the problem is:

This app does not support notification channels yet! So thats the feature request. It will need to be done eventually for new Android versions anyways. Looking forward to it!
