+ Fixed issues with new text editor on *some* Android 5.0 - 6.0 devices

Drafts not saving or sending
Copy / Paste not working
Signature / greeting not switching when switching accounts
...

Caused by:

Since Android 5.0, WebView is update-able through Google Play (Android System WebView).

We need, and check for, WebView version 60.

But on some devices (manufacturer's decision) apps get an older version of WebView, built into the system image, and not the newer WebView from Play. And so there were compatibility issues. Fixed.

Причина:

Начиная с Андроида 5.0, WebView обновляется через Google Play (Android System WebView).

Нам нужна версия 60, и мы проверяем что она установлена.

Но на некоторых устройства (это решение производителя) приложения получают старую версию WebView, встроенную в образ системы, а не более новую версию из Play. Были проблемы совместимости. Исправили.

But if the new message editor is enabled you don't have the dark theme!

If you disable the new message editor you'll get the dark theme but the three dots don't work anymore!

The apk doesn't solve the issue.

When I use the old message editor, which I prefer (it's black), the three dots do NOT work! I click on them copy and paste opens for 1 second and then immediately closes.

My device: Motorola Moto e2 on Android 5.0.2, (Webview 37 but I also tried newer versions to no avail).

Please remove the three dots and have the "select all, cut, copy and paste" be at the top.

BTW - in your screenshot there is a "popup" menu with "paste replace..." *and* there are icons (at least for "paste") in the top bar.

Do you get that (both popup menu and top menu) with "paste" (and then some?) on your phone?

As said, when I use the old message editor, which I prefer (it's black), the three dots do NOT work! I click on them copy and paste opens for 1 second and then immediately closes. With the new message editor copy and paste are behind the three dots and work, but still annoying. There's plenty of space for all tools at the top. And I do not get a pop-up for select all, cut, copy and paste when selection text. Only replace and delete.

Look for the next 1.17.0-dev under "Development builds" - it'll show up to 4 commands as icons, should be enough for "select all" / "cut" / "copy" / "paste".
