Aquamail too Slow and sync after every few min

I really like this app and took the Pro license of Aquamail app, noticed 2 problems recently

1. Over the period of time it has become painfully slow - if you want to open a message or  when you want to do a reply - the apps window just revolves a circle and take forever to load - I have tried almost all the options that are listed in various discussions - compact the database, have the least number of messages to sync and cache.

2. The app tries to sync up often, even when I have set the Auto-sync to one hour, but somehow whenever you open the app it tries to wake up and start the sync on it's own , as a result of that the emails are not being sent immediately - it is sent usually at the end of the sync process and at time the sent mail sits in drafts folder and is never sent until I clicks on refresh

Any help/suggestion will be really appreciated.

Bizarre. You are probably the only one with such experience. I very rarely buy apps but have been extremely satisfied and glad that I purchased AquaMail Pro. I am sure someone will try to help you but the information posted by you is very limited - probably include some log and device details etc. Regards

What is the size of the app's database? Menu -> About -> will be listed as "Messages.sqldb - ... size here ..."

If it's over 100 megabytes - yes it can be slow.

Such large database size is usually caused by "asking" (setting) the app to sync / cache too many messages.

It's the "messages to sync" and "messages to cache" settings.

You'll find them in app settings -> mail, receiving.

And in per-account "options and folders -> account options" if you long press on an account on the app's main screen.

The defaults are "50" (to sync) and "250" (to cache) except for Exchange account "to sync" is 21 days.

I'm guessing you must be using much large values. Please reduce and then do Menu -> Compact the database on the app's main screen and it should improve things.
