Syncing/Notification Issue on Galaxy S9 Oreo
« on: March 21, 2018, 09:44:26 pm »
I just switched to a GS9 with Oreo from a GS7 with Nugat. I backed up my settings from my S7 to restore them on my S9. Everything worked great, except now I am not getting notifications for new mail and it takes up to 45 minutes for email to arrive unless I manually check it. The app is set to check each account every 5 minutes.
I still have the GS7 and it has no problems whatsoever.

Is this an Oreo issue or an Aquamail issue?

Hi

I have switched from S7 to S9+, and  experiencing no lags at all for either exchange or IMAP emails.

I would check your settings on S9 mirrors the S7 just in case, in case something did not carry over.

On mine it was all the sounds, calendar sync and the unread message counter

First two were easily sorted.

Ther last one not so.

Hi,

Android 6 and newer and its “Doze Mode”
Doze Mode is where Android will not let apps run in the background as often as they need to while the phone is stationary.
To check, please bring up AquaMail settings -> mail, receiving.
If the app is not already whitelisted, there will be a green panel / button / message / prompt asking you to do this.
