Unable to setup yahoo mail on new phone

My old phone was bricked by an update. So I cannot transfer from old to new. I am a AquaMail Pro user.
I successfully setup my Google account but the Yahoo account fails authentication even though the yahoo web page acknowledges the authentication as a new login.
Please help. I do not want to switch to yahoo mail app.

Is there nothing that works? Are there not Yahoo accounts that have been setup? With my old phone I did not have an issue with the same Aqua Mail app and the same yahoo account.

As Paris Geek said, it's a Yahoo issue. They're having problems with their servers. Obviously you didn't have an issue with your old phone because Yahoo's servers were working fine then.

The number of complaints at downdetector appears to be lower today, but looks like the issue isn't fully resolved yet.

Still have no contacts in my iPhone that was linked to my yahoo account. Been on the phone since yesterday at 2pm with Apple support. Even today still can’t figure out nthn. I will be backing up my contacts with my gmail instead cause this is ridiculous
