I'm actually talking about the bug report on page 1 of this thread by Chris.

The beta with the promised feature "Remove the Top Apps button". for paid users is out for testing. We expect to roll out the stable version this week.

Week passed, when can we get the stable version?

BTW, since you refused to upload the betas here, no one tests or reports issues anymore, and I wonder where you get feedback from, if at all?

There will be an option to "Remove the Top Apps button".
The bug with O365 accounts is still present for some users and for others is not. Sorry but, we are not really sure where the problem comes from. We are still trying to find the cause.  ::)
Martin,
new version 1.38.1 in google play, but the top app menu item remained in place. Yow to explain it? Where are you going with your stupid ads

They still haven't fixed the big white gap between the text of an email and the keyboard.

Weeks pass and nothing has changed. Martin what is going on with the developers fixing this open source email app?

I'm not sure why there is a release without the ads removed and the bug Chris found resolved?

Have to agree with "nihilism". Until I saw this thread I had  never even known there WAS a "Top Apps" button, it's buried way down the bottom of the navigation drawer, very unobtrusive. Though I do find the title "top" apps a bit vague. "Other" apps, "suggested", or "recommended" apps might be a more accurate title.
Furthermore, I have any number of paid apps (and my AM is also paid) that have some kind of button (often a silly icon of a gift wrapped package) that leads to a similar list of "suggested" apps, either third party or by the same developer. And that button is usually at the very top of a page (like the settings page), quite prominent. By comparison this AM apps button is so un-prominant as to be almost uselessly lost in the basement.
So I don't see the big deal one way or the other. To those who are venting so much steam over it, get a life! There must be far more pressing issues to expend energy on.

There IS an option to remove the TopApps button for pro-users. It's in the Look and Feel section of the settings.

Guys,

1. The "bug" described by Chris is not a bug, you can easily adjust the screen by tapping "enter" thus making the screen bigger/taking more space to fill the "gap". I have spoken to the devs about it and they assured me that this is intentional.  ::)

2. The decision to stop uploading the .apk is permanent and it won't change. The only way to enroll in the beta remains "Google".  :-X

3. We have listened to you and have added the function to "remove the top apps drawer" for PRO users.  8) By doing this we have proven that we really hear and value our users and their feedback. Also please understand that sometimes we have to make hard decisions, but at the end of the day we value our customers the most. So for that, we thank you for being with us through the good and the bad times!  :-* :P

I will close this topic because it derailed a long time ago. If you want to discuss something else, please use the appropriate sections of the forum. ;)
Thank you for your understanding and support!

P.S WE ARE WORKING VERY HARD TO IMPROVE/FIX AQUA MAIL..OK
