These folders seem not to sync with the email server.
Does this have something to do with the square brackets?
How do I get sent and drafts to sync with server?
Any suggestions??

Please, follow the instructions in the FAQ item "How do I access server side folders?":
http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=227
You need to map those folders to the corresponding folders on the server.
(They will still appear with square brackets in Aquamail. - That's just for a few "special" folders.)

Syncing sent emails with server, acquamail misses some emails sent from phone
« Reply #2 on: September 04, 2017, 09:02:41 pm »
I have the PRO version. My sent emails (from my phone) were not syncing with my sent items folder in my server (and outlook). In Aquamail, I have a "Sent Items" folder (note it is different form the default aquamail "Sent" folder) synced to my "sent items" folder on my server.
I configured Aquamail to save each sent email to the default aquamail folder "Sent". After this change without configuring to sync the sent folder on aquamail with the sent items folder, the sent emails are somehow appearing too on my "Sent items" folder (from my server) on aquamail. However some sent emails make it to the server and some just appear on the synced folder Sent items on my phone but never make it to the server. In other words, they do not sync entirely.

Please help. I have no issues when I send thru Outlook, they always sync to the server. So I am sure it is an aquamail issue, not a server issue.

The Sent folder in Aqua Mail always shows as "Sent" - but you can set it to "point to" any folder on the server (whose name may vary).

Please long press on the account -> options and folders -> folders.

Wait for it to refresh the server folder list (10-20 seconds).

Find the server side Sent folder ("Sent Items", "Sent Messages", just "Sent", "Отправленные" and so on).

Tap it, choose "Sync with Sent".

Back up one screen, now enter "composing and sending". Make sure that "save sent messages" is enabled (checked).
