separate username to log in to IMAP / SMTP server
« on: August 03, 2017, 10:27:45 am »
Hi,

my ISP requests a separate username to log in to the servers. Aqua Mail seems to allow only email address and password.

I need to configure username and passwort where the username is different from my email address. How can I manage this?

Thanks & kind regards,
Robert

Additional info:
I do use the "manual" setup, but there I am only allowed to enter my email address, not a separate username for the login...

As you have already figured out you can use MANUAL setup.
On the next two screens (Incoming / Outgoing server) , just enter your username (not necessarily your email address) and your password.
This should work.
