Sharing a document to an existing thread
« on: July 03, 2017, 08:10:56 am »
Quite often, there's an attachment on email which needs to be edited / commented on and then sent back to the original sender as a reply in the existing conversation.

Right now, the work flow is: Save document to storage > open file explorer > select file > open > edit > save > back to aquamail > find conversation > tap reply > attach edited document > send.

A faster way would be to open the attachment, edit without saving to storage, then share to Aquamail. But then Aquamail opens in a new email thread and the conversation continuity is lost.

Is it possible, when sharing a document to Aquamail, to send the resulting new email to a specified conversation?

Or even, if an attachment is opened and then shared, a menu option to attach it directly to a reply to the mail it was opened from (MS Office and Outlook for android have something similar, though that might be possible only because of tight integration)

If not, can it be put on the roadmap?

Thanks

Sorry there is no shortcut for this -- but we're aware of this "use pattern" and are interested in making it easier. I'm just not sure when this might "bubble up" to our "short list" for a specific release. Sorry.
