Exchange WS with Mobile Device Management policies
« on: June 05, 2017, 05:16:50 pm »
Hi Team,

I have been using Aqua Mail for quite some time now. Thanks for the decent Email client.

Recently my company has introduced what they call mobile device management. Meaning the standard EWS are not supported any longer and we need to go through a proxy called Bitglass. The WS endpoints are the same, but bitglass enforces some mobile device settings like PIN Code, screen saver etc.

This seems not to be supported by AquaMail at this point. Interestingly AquaMail can login, it also receives the number of unread mails, but that's it. No mails will be downloaded.

Could this be supported?

Thanks,

Fogg

If somebody could provide the technical documentation we could consider it.

I am not an expert on that, but I guess the Microsoft documention could be a starting point. Unfortunately I cannot paste links... trying to cheat a bit:

httpx://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune-classic/deploy-use/mobile-device-management-with-exchange-activesync-and-microsoft-intune

Happy to help testing if this makes sense.

Thanks but:

- That's about ActiveSync, not EWS (Exchange Web Services)

- The intended audience is server admins ("how do I configure X") and not mail app developers ("how do we make our app work with X").
