hotmail attachments insanely slow

Fetching a hotmail attachment is 2ey too slow, 2orst than a dialup prehistorical 5kbps...how to correct this please

Hotmail's IMAP implementation is insanely slow in general.

Not an Aqua Mail issue - the app can fetch them as fast as the network and the mail server allow.

Hi - I had the same issue with Hotmail in combination with Aqua Mail. It was quite slow and attachment download was ridiculously slow.
I then deleted the account and added Hotmail as an exchange account. It has been working fine since and attachments download fast.

Strange thing is that Hotmail is actually no meant to work via exchange protocol but it seems to work fine. Been using it for a week now.

Hotmail's IMAP is badly broken since about two weeks.

Very slow, often disconnecting, and attachments often fail to download.

It was already broken exactly like that about a year ago - hopefully they can fix it again.
