Prioritising contacts by email domain vs. account domain
« on: April 28, 2017, 07:19:49 pm »
I'm using my AquaMail for work and personal stuff.

I've got all my work contacts on my address book, but when I compose an email from my work account they are just mixed in with all my other contacts.

Is there any way to prioritise contacts in the AquaMail contact picker according to the domain of their email address, if it matches with the domain of the email account I'm sending from?

E.g. when I'm sending email from me at mycompany.com, I need other contacts with email addresses  at mycompany.com to be prioritised in the contact picker. Needs an on/off switch on a per-account basis (e.g. in the account -> Options and folders -> Composing and sending) - I don't want people with gmail.com addresses prioritised just because I'm using my Gmail account.

MTIA.

No sorry there isn't a setting like this.

Is your work account - Exchange?

With contacts synced into Contacts app - by Aqua Mail?

Thanks for the quick front Kostya.

It's an Exchange account, but I've got people on my personal contacts list (not synced from the Exchange server) since I've got loads of other contact info not on the Exchange server - personal mobile numbers, birthdays, addresses etc.

I see that I can use the +/add person button and then select from the list in the Exchange tab in the contacts picker - might be the best option.

Sorry I'm still not 100% clear -- you've got a lot of address entries for @corp.com but they're in your personal address book (synced under the @gmail account presumably)?

The Exchange tab in the contact picker -- yes, that does filter, but on the "account under which the contact entries are synced" not on "the @corp.com part of the contract entry, no matter where and how it's stored".

In other words, the Exchange tab will show "contacts synced by Aqua Mail under your @corp.com account" and *not* "contacts in phone Contacts no matter where they came from but all having @corp.com in their actual addresses".
