Sorry for posting this off-topic post. There were a few threads on this forum where trust (on Android) was discussed, and some others, where Google penetration was discussed. Here, two come together.

Google is not infallible. And that's one of the reasons why too much trust placed on Google (or, rather, encroached by Google) can lead to detrimental consequences:
