gmail is the paradise of spam accounts? really??
« on: October 27, 2016, 12:21:56 pm »
In the process of updating my email account from yahoo to gmail,
I noticed that 2 (forums I think) wouldn't allow me to do the switch,
cause they said that gmail was often used by spam accounts!!!

Really?

They ban maybe the largest user email domain,
just because some spammers use it?

Worst ever generalization I've ever seen!!

I had another problem today,
I tried to forward a newsletter to a colleague in 2 email addresses,
the one was an exchange one and the other a yahoo address,
the email wasn't delivered in any of the two,
I finally managed to succeed when I sent it over to his hotmail!!!

Of course, the problem is that I wasn't notified in any case (neither did he,
he just didn't receive any email),
which is a shame for gmail and possible its reputation?

Gmail is kind of well known for its overly paranoid spam filter. I'm seeing this in my own account.

As for forum reg., your profile has a Gmail address, and I use a Gmail address here too. Guess you meant "the other" forums?
