Maximize window size when running app under Chromeos
« on: September 24, 2016, 08:04:01 pm »
I am using a Google Pixel chromebook running Chrome Beta, with the ability to run Android Apps. When I start the AquaMail app it takes up just part of the window. I cannot drag the edges to resize it. When I click on the maximize button the window does enlarge but at the same time I get a popup warning at the bottom of the screen. The message says "This app may not work when resized". However when I exit and restart the app it does not stay maximized. I have noticed that several of my other apps exhibited the same behavior and that several have been updated so that they stay maximized. However the updated ones still does not allow one to resize the app by dragging an edge (which is not a big deal to me). Is it possible for you to get the maximized button working correctly. Apps on ChromeOS are of course are a very important feature and the app really needs to stay maximized.

regards,

Giovanni

The developer docs just say "Chrome OS support portrait, landscape, and maximized".

I watched the video on Chrome OS + Android apps from Google I/O, same thing, just a "statement" and no information.

The "maximized" state is specific to Chrome OS, it's not something Android apps have a notion for.

In other words, sorry, no idea.
