Notifications not Dismissing

I am using an Exchange account (Office 365), and set a custom mail check interval of 2 minutes.  Everything is working fine except that notifications do not dismiss if I read the email from another client, even if I wait the 2 minutes until the next scheduled sync.  Messages are being marked as read in the app, but the notification will not clear until i launch the app.

I used to have it set up as IMAP Push, and if I read the email on my computer, the notification on my phone would automatically dismiss.  Is there a way to make this happen even though I am using EWS (exchange) now?

This has been fixed in the newer "development builds", 1.6.4-dev (development) and the even newer 1.7.0-dev.

In addition, these version have true push mail for Exchange so you can enable that and dial the scheduled checks back to every 15 minutes to save battery.

That's there now, and there should be a new update there pretty soon.

To enable push, it's same procedure as for IMAP accounts: please long press on the account (on the app's main screen) -> options and folders -> account options -> enable "push mail".

Enabling push (for Exchange) will switch the account's "messages to sync" (how many of your most recent messages are visible in the app) from a number based value ("N messages") to a date range based value ("X days"), which is more efficient in terms of battery and network use.

Thank you for your response.

I did see the reference to the newer "Dev" versions in other posts, but was hesitant to do that simply because it is "Dev". 

I will give that a try and just downgrade if I encounter any issues with the dev versions.
