Deleted emails keep reloading

I have Uninstalled and reinstalled aqua mail and am using a Comcast POP3 account.  I have the setting for NOT deleting messages from the server since I may wish to retrieve some.

A couple of weeks ago,  deleted messages started reloading back onto my S7 phone (does not happen on my Android tablet which does not use aqua mail nor did it happen on this phone when I uninstalled aqua mail and set up the OEM email client) .

How can I prevent deleted emails from reloading?

And one more thing: do they re-appear on next refresh -- or later, say next morning?

Starts  bringing in additional deleted emails immediately  and more at refresh - maybe I should switch to an inappropriate account if that does not delete them off of the Comcast server - I read some emails on my phone but expect to bring them in from the Comcast server when I wake up my desktop computer

Can you please confirm that you're using "hide in the app, keep on the server"?

A screenshot like that would be perfect: long press the account -> options and folders -> account options.

And while you're at the "options and folders" step, please let me know if there is an item labeled "IMAP Options" or "POP3 Options".

I switched to the Comcast iMAP  server and made sure that in the setup that no emails were deleted from the server.   So far,  all is well  and this thread can be closed.

I have this same problem.  I have the Samsung Note 5 and when I delete an email, either after reading it or swiping, when I refresh all the deleted emails come right back.  I've enabled logging but I cannot seem to find the log on my phone.  Anyhow, this behavior began today.

The mail account in your profile? That's IMAP (by default).

Are you deleting messages by "move to deleted" (the trash can icon)?

And they come back after you check mail in the account?

Please check / fix the mapping of the app's "special" folders to server folders:

- Long press the account
- Options and folders
- Folders

Let it refresh

- Find the Sent folder (the name varies by mail provider, may be "Sent Items", "Sent Messages), choose "Sync with [ Sent ]".
- Repeat for Deleted and Drafts
