Mail in both accounts
« on: May 15, 2016, 01:12:20 am »
I have 2 email accounts on my aqua mail android app. When I get email on one of my accounts, it also appears on my other account inbox. If I delete the email from inbox on my second account, it also deletes it from the first inbox. I cannot work out what is going on. Can anyone help?

I have 2 accounts - account 1 is a hotmail account and account 2 is a Gmail account. I have used the standard setup to setup these addresses on my app.

All emails received in account 1 automatically appear in account 2 inbox, so I receive 2x notification for the same email. If i delete the unwanted email in account 2, it deletes it from account 1 also.

It does not happen the other way around -  emails I receive in account 2 do not appear in account 1.

Forgive me, I'm reluctant to post screenshots of my email accounts online.

This behavior could be caused from the configuration of your Gmail account (on the server side / NOT within AquaMail).

Please check if you have Gmail configured to retrieve incoming messages from your Hotmail account, automatically > 'Gmailify' your inbox

Great. That was it. My Gmail account was 'linked' to my hotmail. Changed the settings in the Gmail app.

Thanks!
