Always Start in Smart Inbox?

Is there anyway to have AquaMail always start showing the contents of the Smart Inbox?

Yes it's possible starting with 1.2.

Please see the app's settings, switch to Extended mode, then look under "User interface", the setting is called "Start the app in...".
