Attachments storage
« on: January 26, 2016, 09:59:41 am »
If you use IMAP with which displays only the last 1 weeks sync and 250 messages cache,

what happens to the attachments AFTER its been downloaded for these messages while its within the 250 messages / 1 week sync
what happens to them AFTER 1 week ?
what happens when its out of the 250 messages ? or no longer on the server  if you have pop3 client already downloading and clearing it.

Is there a way to clear OLD attachments ? or a setting that you can enable to clear these old attachments if they are not automatically being done so.

The messages "falling off the bandwagon" (the 250 setting) are trimmed from the phone's storage.

Their attachments (unless "Saved" by you, in which case they're under your control) are trimmed too.

This happens every night around 3am, or you can do it yourself, Menu -> Compact the Database (in the app's main window, account list).
