« on: January 19, 2016, 11:18:44 pm »
When deleting my messages, they at first disappear but then will reappear. Sorry if this has been discussed before, I couldn't find anything using the search. Can anyone help? Thanks

Is your account configured as POP3 or IMAP or EWS  (Exchange Web Services) ?

Thanks for the quick reply. It's POP3
For the first step please have a look into the FAQ:

http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=227

The second item "What are the options for deleting messages?"  should answer some POP3 related questions.

If this doesn't help, you're welcome to come back here.

How are you deleting messages? Move to Deleted, Delete Immediately, Hide?

How soon do they re-appear (instantly, after next mail check, next day)?

If it's a POP3 account, and there are more than a few dozen messages in the app's Deleted folder, then please long press it and choose "Delete All", this will purge those messages from the server.

However:

If this is your v..net account, the preset for this mail provider in AquaMail is IMAP.

And so please check that the app's Deleted folder is properly "mapped" to a server folder.

- Long press the account
- Options and Folders
( at this point you'll see either POP3 Options or IMAP Options which will tell you how the account is set up in AquaMail )
- Tap into Folders (if it's IMAP)
- Let it refresh
- Find the server side Deleted folder ("Bin", "Trash", "Deleted Items", "Deleted Messages", whatever it's called)
- Tap the folder name, choose "Sync with Deleted"
