Maybe unexpected coming from me -- but yes, I expect they should (consume less battery). Most of their "what changed since last sync" can run in the cloud.

But no, I don't have any experience with cloud based apps (oh wait, tried Outlook once, uninstalled when it couldn't complete loading a 5K message, for viewing, in more than 10 minutes.... in an folder with only a hundred messages or so...).

Would love to see someone else respond, coming from real experience with these apps.

Hi Kostya,

I can confirm that cloudmagic app has a low mobile radio active usage and also low overall battery drain but guess what google play services compensates for that...So when I deleted the app, google play services mobile radio usage went down...

It's a catch-22 when in comes to battery drain for any third-party app other than the gmail/ inbox app...
