Exclude Bcc mail from conversation
« on: November 27, 2015, 04:49:47 pm »
I have set each mail I sent as BBC to Me,  so that I have records of all sent mail on my outlook pop account.

But in conversation mode ,  any mail I send has become threaded mail.  As it immediately comeback to me

Isn't this a part of a conversation?

I send mail,  same  mail comes back to me,  so in conversation,  I see both same mail drafted by me,  one sent and same mail received back,

Well, but those message are related.

Is it really an inconvenience to see those "2" (sent and received) messages together?

Consider that BCC is also used for other things -- not just for "sending a copy to yourself" -- and in that case, you will want BCC to be looked at.

Yes,  you sea right,  some bcc are to. Others to,  and in that case it is needed to be threaded.  But at present all my messages are threaded without exception and it tempted me to see them just to check if I do not miss them. As it reflects as unread message.  How ever not a big inconvenience,  have to get used to it.

If you don't want to see two copies of the same sent message in the conversation,  you can uncheck "include sent in conversation ", which will exclude  the copy from Sent folder.

As an aside, I understand that the reason people might want to receive bcc to the same account is to make sure that the message was sent from the  phone. But what I don't understand is why saving a copy in Sent in that case. So it seems to me:  one or another, not both. Would you mind sharing the rational behind that?

I have set it like this

Have aquamail imap,  and outlook pop.

I put bcc to all mail sent from aquamail,  and they get stored in outlook in specific folder for future reference.

I store sent mail in sent mail in aqua for reference,  as I have to resend it many times.

This is my scenario.

My objective of putting request was just to clear clutter in thread and removing duplicate mails.
Thanks
