I have two identical devices (mobile phones - two different lines of service) that I go back and forth between over a period of a month or so.  I have AquaMail on both, to access the same Exchange account, but going to the second device today and attempting to sync up I received a very noticeable Red Box error in the single account I have configured to retrieve:  "Incoming server login error: HTTP/1.1  401  Unauthorized".

Is this perhaps some limitation of my company's mail server (or its configuration), or should I reinstall AquaMail on my device?  All the settings on my device have been checked and are correct.

Same AquaMail versions (what version exactly)?

What about Android versions?

Is the account set up as EWS on both devices, or maybe IMAP on one and EWS on the other?

Have you checked account settings on both, too (long press the account -> account setup -> Manual to see detailed settings)?

1.5.9.14 on the device whose AquaMail had been working. 1.5.9.13 on the one I just switched into (This second device had not been switched on when 13 updated to 14 a short time ago. Previously its installation of AquaMail had been working. I expect it will prompt for an update today sometime).

Same device model, same version of Android (KitKat v4.4.4) on both.  Both set up for EWS.

I could delete the account and add it again (no need to re-install the product).  I only have one of the devices with me at present.

It's now back working again.

I deleted the account, but in the process of re-adding it I suspect the problem was that I had changed the account's password in the previous device's AquaMail set up to match a routine change in the account itself;  this change was likely not made in the second device (until this moment).  Things to remember the next time I do a password change!  But a little unusual the type of message to inform me of a problem in that area.

No worries then.  All's well that ends well!  Thanks for your prompt attention Kostya!

Hi,
mmmh, for me "Incoming server login error: HTTP/1.1  401  Unauthorized" sounds like a"login problem".

However, after I knew that it was a password problem  8)
