Notification and Purge with Back Key
« on: September 27, 2015, 12:45:26 pm »
Hi,

First of all, I really like this application and I think AquaMail is a true gem!

Here are a few things I consider to be ‘bugs’, but maybe the problems are caused by me.

Problem a:
Sometimes, the notification sound and color led I set in special settings for, let say account B,
are used for account A. This only happens in rare occasions and I cannot find an explanation for it.

Problem b:
I have never been able to purge deleted messages by using the back key.

Phone is a HTC ONE XL
Currently running Pac-Rom Lollipop 5.1.1
Previously running CM11
governor: Intellidemand  Scheduler: SIO

Those two problems have been occuring with both System ROMs.
I am using AquaMail Pro.

Thanks!
Alan

Regarding "Problem b" I guess you are talking about this general option in Settings > Mail, other > "Purge [ Deleted ] on exit",  right?

To close AquaMail completely just by using the "back key" please ensure that the option "Long 'Back'  to close the app" is enabled in Settings > Look and feel

However, I tested out that this is only working in "Message view"  and "Message list", but not in "Account list view".  Using the "Back key" from Account list will leave AquaMail in the "Recent apps list" (it's like "minimizing" in Windows). The app is only "paused",  not really "closed".

See Kostya's explanation below >

Please check if your notification settings are properly set in all your individual accounts:

> go to App's main window (Account list view) > long press on (each) Account name > Special settings > Message notifications > enable "Special settings" > enable LED notifications > choose "LED colour"

Re: LED colour

If there are two or more notifications each with its own LED color -- Android will do nothing to "juggle" them. So basically the most recent color "wins".

To make your phone look like a Christmas Tree :), please consider an app called Light Flow.
