Problem counting All Mail & Inbox Mail
« on: July 16, 2015, 09:46:10 am »
It used to be correct but recently (a week maybe), the "Inbox" shown "the number" of unread message, but for "All Mail", it show no unread message which is correct.

OK, I mean actually all the mail in my real email are READ (NO UNREAD) message,
but in AquaMail recently, show "Inbox" has 1,2,3,4 (whatever number) "Unread message" which is INCORRECT.
However, for the "All Mail" it doesn't show that I have any "Unread message" which is CORRECT.

BUT, when I enter into "Inbox", then it shows that all message are READ, then when I pressed "back button", to the "Account List",
NOW, the "Inbox" does NOT show any "UNREAD message".  I mean ... Do I have to enter into the "Inbox", then go back to the "Account List" everytime to update the "Counter" of Incorrectly "Inbox counter"??  It should not work like that, and it's never worked like that before this recent week. There must be something wrong recently about AquaMail.

BTW, no matter I pulled down the list "in order to update" the counter of the mail on the "Account List" page, the counter of "Inbox" label still show INCORRECTLY until I enter into the "Inbox" folder manually and back to the "Account List" again to update the counter manually.

This is so frustrating. :(

How to fix it?

Thanks a lot

I'm guessing those are old messages, known to the mail server, but not visible in AquaMail's "sync window" (which covers a limited number of recent messages).

Please log into web mail, and check the unread count there.

If necessary, mark all read, I mean "all" including old messages.

Oops, it's showing the correct counter for "Inbox" now.

Will this happen again?, and if will, HOW to prevent the WRONG counter showing in the future
as I stated in OP, this incident happen just once time since I've been using AquaMail, but wanna make sure it shouldn't happen again.

Thank you so much!!

Sorry my name isn't Nostradamus, so I don't know if it will happen again or not.

So far you've only had it happen once. If it happens again, please follow-up and we'll try to investigate.
