main mail just keeps loading. over and over and over

Hi. So ive recently updated to lillipop. I have a galaxy s4 and the pro version of aquamail. Suddenly when i go to my main email inbox its always loading fo scanning new mail. Keeps Loading and shows 1.56 sec then 3.5 sec then 2.4 etc. The mail list is blank but just keeps loading. I cannot access my current mail.

On top of this i uninstalled and re installed with same problem. I have 2 email accounts in it. The one i always use has the problem while the other one doesn't. Weird.

I'm experiencing this problem as well, on both my Android devices running Aqua Mail with Yahoo accounts (IMAP). It won't load any mails. However, as for my case, I believe that it's caused by some Yahoo server problems. Webmail is working fine. Other, non-Yahoo accoints are fine as well. On my desktop, Thunderbird only loads the first 200 (oldest) mails in every folder on my Yahoo account.
If anyone has more info on this issue, please share :-)

Same problem for me with two BTinternet accounts in the UK, which use Yahoo servers. Constant "loading".

Please describe your server and account (name, configuration, etc.)

Its through Rogers that uses Yahoo. Might be a Yahoo issue but ive tried using blue mail and there are no problems.. thing is i hate blue mail.

Havent touched any settings, just concerned its a bug with new Lillipop?

I got more than a dozen email messages about it today.

It *is* Yahoo.

Their IMAP server returns data that can only be called garbage.

Thunderbird and Outlook are also affected.

Fffffuck!!! I'm soo angry at those idiots.

They break their IMAP server every few months.

This time it's worse than ever before.

Maybe the "oh so lovely and oh so smart Ms. Meyer" should just shut down Yahoo Mail and say "sorry, we just couldn't do it".

Hmm, this may explain things.. If Yahoo only has one person working on the whole Mail project

Yes, I got a few more email messages that things are mostly fixed.

And just in case -- turning off app settings -> message list -> "load more messages automatically when scrolling" -- fixes the "infinite sync" (although won't do anything to actually make messages show).
