Note 4 4.4.4 - DND ignored ( led wise )

I use the "Blocking Mode" to disable the LED for the night.
For some unknown reason, AquaMail seems to ignore this mode and fire LED nevertheless.

Ps: Yes, Samsung should have kept the LED quick toggle instead of messing things up, I am fed up with these "innovations" as well.

You can use AquaMail's special settings for the night (and weekends) :

> go to the app's main window (Account list view) > Menu button (3 dots icon) >Settings > scroll down to "Nights and weekends" > activate "Enable night mode" and "Suppress the LED" to turn off f LED in notifications
... set "From" / "To" time fields to define your own Night period.

Oh, and Android 6 is supposed to have even more "innovations" related to notifications -- I think they're going to bring back the old "do not disturb" mode that keeps alarms working.

@Kostya: Can you detect this state somehow? This "Blocking Mode"?
I found out that the Note 3 had a simple "Block led" at Blocking Mode, but Samsung went full retard and removed for the Note 4.
I was thinking about installing some led manager app, but those also love to eat battery. ;_;

ps.: Aqua Mail eats so miniscule amount of juice on 4.4.4 that it's shocking.
With 10 accounts or so, the phone stil lasts 2 days with heavy use.
I have read that you are also on L Kostya, I posted a tutorial on XDA how to downgrade permanently to KitKat.

Sorry, I don't have any access to manufacturer specific settings -- from an app's point of view, there is a "flash the LED" flag and the rest of the filtering happens "in the system".

About battery use -- thanks, and actually, I use a few tricks to save battery and traffic when working with the "better" IMAP servers (Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, Cyrus, and since recently, the not too old versions of Dovecot).

I use Ubuntu 14.04 on my mail server (running iRedMail).
It uses 1:2.2.9-1ubuntu2.1.

Is that fresh enough?

Yes, 2.2 is fine.

You can test easily -- refresh the account (from Aqua's main window).

If there are no changes in any of the "set to sync" folders, you'll see Aqua very quickly determine that, and not "go into" each and every folder.
