Automatic downloading of large attachments

I am sending the newspaper myself. I have a script running on my server which downloads the newspaper and sends it to my email account (it's my own mailserver - so I was able to increase the attachment size)
This way, I have the newspaper on the smartphone when I am leaving home - without initiating the download by hand...

The newspaper is mostly about 15MB - and up to 75MB - but it's not that huge very often.
Today it was about 28MB - but the 30MB limit was already too small...
I hope to get the "no limit" option within a narrow time frame?


EDIT: You said that most email servers do have the limit at 30MB max - then for most users the "no limit" option wouldn't change anything...

I just found this information from the German e-mail provider "1&1" :

"The maximum attachment size for all 1&1 basic e-mail accounts is limited to ~75MB. Because of base64 encoding (used when sending attachments), the maximum attachment size may be less depending on the type of file(s). This is a result of the base64 encoding which commonly increases file size slightly. This limit remains the same whether you are using the 1&1 Webmail interface or sending mail through an e-mail program."

Therefore it could be a solution to increase the limits for preloading attachments as follows :

WiFi
...
    5 MB
  10 MB
  25 MB
  50 MB
100 MB
No limit

Mobile 3G+ / 2G
..
    5 MB
  10 MB
  25 MB
  50 MB
100 MB
[No limit)?]  < I'm not really sure whether this option will be useful

However, the decision is up to Kostya.

That sounds great!
Useful or not - just add it and let the user decide if it is needed or not. When you have LTE and unlimited data volume - why not download everything automatically?

There are no defaults for attachments -- because worldwide, many people still have metered connectivity.

I just added more preset values as well as "no limit".

I don't think that I currently need it, but maybe the same choices should be available for preloading images?

More than a megabyte of embedded  (as opposed to linked) images is an abomination

But if someone needs it in the future, sure.
