New phone, new android, aqua mail now expands have email accounts

How do I switch off this behaviour please?

I have a lot of email accounts and seeing a number with an asterisk beside the email account is all I need to see.

I don't need Aquamail to expand all of those accounts which have new email, the asterisk and number is enough notification, plus I prefer Smart folder.

Please help.

Doesn't look like it. And since AM/Mobi support rarely appears in the forum any longer, your best bet is to email support directly. I don't recall the email address, but you can find it via your favorite search engine.
