Delete or delete?

After about 2 years of happily using Aquamail, I've realized that I have never used the button "delete". Rather, I always use "Delete now/Delete immediately".
I understand, that I am not the statistically "average" user, but I suspect there might be a few that do it the same way.
So, I hope it wouldn't be very difficult to implement yet another configuration option for the "Delete" button (in all its "incarnations": message view, list view, notifications, ...): "Delete now" or "move to `deleted' folder". And of course, keeping the latter (the present behavior) as the default option. Since "delete now" has a confirmation anyway, I don't think this would confuse people or would lead to accidental message erasure. (Well, you can put a warning sign next to that option in settings.)

BTW, using this opportunity, there are two different menu items for "Delete now" function: "Delete now" in the message view, and "Delete immediately" in the [message] list view. I am not sure which one is better, but just pick one for consistency.

Hmm, not sure I follow.... Even when the "move to deleted" is the account's default, the other two ("delete immediately" and "hide") are available in message list under the three dots icon.

"Delete now" is also there in message view already.

For notifications, it might be difficult due to lack of space.

Now as for "Delete immediately" (message list) vs. "Delete now" (message view), that's a bug, should be the same and coming from same "string id" so it's the same in all translations as well. Will fix.

Sorry, I see that I didn't write it clearly.
I am not talking about the menus, but rather about the buttons:
By the "delete" button, I mean the "trash can" icon-button in the list view and message view, and "delete" option in the notifications. All three move the message to "Deleted" folder.

I am suggesting making it possible to configure (as an option) those to have the functionality of "Delete Now".

@StR, you can choose to "delete permanently" by default instead of "move to trash". This is an option per account.

Long press on account name -> Accounts and folders -> Account options.

Look there, you'll find what you need to do, in "Deleting messages" option. Click on it, and choose your "delete button" behavior by default, for this account:
- move to Deleted
or - delete from server immediately
or - hide in the app, keep on the server
...

That's exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find.

I guess, I didn't expect it in that portion of the settings/options.

Under "settings" there are at least two places where the options related to deleting and deleted messages appear ("Mail Other" and "Look and Feel"). That's where I was looking for this one as well. But it probably makes sense to make it different for different accounts.

Those are sort of secondary, they are related to what happens when you're already in the process of moving a message to Deleted or have messages there.
