I would prefer if I could set "mark as read" to never, and then manually mark messages as read. But I think this option does not exist.
So my workaround was to set "mark as read" to 15 seconds. If I want to defer dealing with an email I use the "mark as unread" option.
In the smart Inbox, I recently got a bit of a shock.
I left my tablet, while smart inbox was selected. When I came back, lots of e-mails had been marked as read. I observed that after 15 seconds the current email was marked as read, which disppeared from the smart inbox, and the next was selected, then after 15 seconds it happened again
Doesn't seem to happen in a "normal" Yahoo! Inbox.
Is this a bug, or a feature, or PEBKAC on my part?

If I can solve this problem I will upgrade to Pro.
