How to remove ✅ tick on left side?

Hi.

I'd like to know please how to remove the ticks on the left side in message list view. Not a fan of that look....

Sorry, but there is no way to disable these icons since there is a functionality behind.

I actually prefer to use that space more productively with contact images, better than a bunch of empty ticks which are only needed when selecting items. I use rounded images, and also use the colour chips option for when I don't have a saved image for the contact. See Settings > Message List > Contact Images.
